Mandatory Electrical Safety Certificates in the Private Rented Sector (England) from 1st July 2020

From June 1^st 2020, new mandatory legislation came in for private landlords. It stated that all landlords must ensure that electrical installations are tested by professional, approved Electrical Safety Registered contractors before a new tenancy begins from July 1^st 2020. Existing tenancies have until 1^st April 2021.
